THROUGH A VARIETY OF INTERCONNECTED PROJECTS, WE HELP PEOPLE BUILD PRACTICAL LANDBASED SKILLS, RECONNECT WITH NATURE AND TAKE BETTER CARE OF OUR ENVIRONMENT. WE OFFER ENERGY ADVICE AND EXPLORE WAYS TO GROW LOCAL RENEWABLE ENERGY. WE BRING COMMUNITY TOGETHER BY SHARING FOOD, GARDENING AND KEEPING SUSTAINABLE ARTS AND CRAFTS ALIVE IN OUR ART & SUSTAINABILITY CENTRE.

Cwm Arian's journey started with setting up a wind turbine in Llanfernach. It is still there today, generating clean energy. We are now looking into setting up solar panels around it. Keeping this initial spirit of green energy in mind, we offer support to community centres to set up their own reusable energy system as well as provide support to individuals to save energy in their homes.

We are able to make small donations from our wind turbine to other community groups, which feels great.

Our beautiful land-learning centre in Tegryn, the highest settlement in Pembrokeshire, is a hands-on space for exploring sustainable growing in all conditions. The site includes a demonstration area, a community garden, and a sustainable arts and crafts garden where Y Stiwdio grows materials for workshops.

Beyond our own land, we work with farmers, landowners and land workers to develop regenerative practices and share knowledge.

We also focus on river health, especially the Nyfer am Byth, to protect and restore our local environment.

For us, strong communities are built on genuine connections, shared skills, and mutual support. We love bringing people together whether it's over food, in one of our gardens, or through creative workshops at our sustainable arts centre. We’re all about short food chains and local produce because keeping things local makes communities stronger and more resilient.

Good communication is at the heart of it all. As a team, we value the Nonviolent Communication (NVC) approach. We don’t always get it right, but we’re committed to returning to the ethos that listening well and expressing our needs are key to healthy, thriving communities.
