Family Friendly - Peg Loom Woven Beasties!
Who knew you could make little beasties with yarn and sticks?
Come along and try your hand at stick weaving and peg loom and create little monsters of your own. Or you may want to make a small bag or belt. The only limit is your own imagination.
This workshop is suitable for aged 5 years plus but all children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
Tea, coffee, squash and biscuits will be available

Family Friendly Collage Workshop - Stick Together. A fun workshop with international collage artist Maya Mitten who will be bringing a huge pile of old magazines for you to cut up and create your very own A3 masterpiece.
Maya will guide you through the process using practical tips that she has gained in almost 20 years of collaging - after this workshop you'll never look at a magazine in the same way again! No experience needed. Suitable for ages 8+ /adults.

NATURAL DYES WITH SIÂN LESTER ~ 2 DAY COURSE
This is a 2-day course which takes place on Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th August. 10am - 4pm both days.
Join Siân Lester to discover how to re-dye and renew textile clothing using foraged and garden waste materials in this two day course. During this two day course you will learn how to: - Mordant (prepare cloth for dyeing) with alum mordant and alum lactate. - Forage for and identify plants to dye with looking at what is in season and in abundance. - Prepare foraged plants and create natural dyes. - Prepare food waste such as onion skins to create natural dyes. - Dye sample fabrics using the natural dye baths - we will ask you to bring along some cloth that is cotton/silk or wool, and has been washed well prior to the event - more details will be emailed to you. - Dyeing using solar jars, a technique that does not require heat.

BSL ~ BRITISH SIGN LANGUAGE
Join Sign and Share for a 10-week introductory course in British Sign Language (BSL).
Sign and Share’s BSL courses are a brilliant way to start learning BSL, whether you're hoping to communicate with Deaf people at home, in the workplace, or simply want to try something new.
This course offers a strong foundation for everyday communication and is perfect for those considering a formal qualification like BSL Level 1 in the future.
The course focuses on helping learners develop basic BSL skills for real-life situations, with an emphasis on Welsh regional signs commonly used in SouthWest Wales.

CREATIVE PAPER MAKING
Join Sarah Holloway to explore textural possibilities and have fun experimenting with making your very own pieces of recycled handmade paper.
You will learn how to use a Deckle and Mould and how to transform old paper into new, using the pouring method. Choose amongst dried petals, seeds, leaves and threads to add into your paper to create exciting textural surfaces.
These can be framed, made into wall hangings or used in collage and card making, gift tags, bookmarks, etc. You will be shown how to expand scale to create patchwork paper and explore line to create textural paper stripes and also how to emboss textured pattern, with printing blocks. Or you can simply build confidence and experiment further with surface texture, by adding a variety of inclusions to your fresh handmade paper.
