on the Afon Nyfer
Survey completed and report ready
We are excited to announce that Phase 1 of this project has now been completed.
Thank you to all of the volunteers who were out sampling the water in the Afon Nyfer catchment for nitrate and phosphate, and making observations about surrounding land use, invasive species and litter. This has given us a really good snapshot of the current ecological condition of this catchment. It is also a great basis to develop the next phase of this project from the ideas that they shared, and the insight and expertise of the members of the steering group. There are some significant and interesting recommendations that are made within the report as well as useful analysis and discussion about the issues affecting the health of the river.
We will be launching the report at a PicNic and Dip event at Castell Henllys on 14th July.
Booking is essential due to COVID-19 restrictions and is available through our website.
